What steps do I need to take for my foundation to look good?
I wash my face with a cleansing gel by Nivea and use a L'Oreal daycreme, moisturising.
My foundation is Rimmel cool matte mousse.
It looks alright in the not so perfect light of my bathroom and in front of my own mirror but close-up it looks like a dusty mask and it seems to just sink into my face in patches - in absolutely no time - and I feel like a horrid mess.
Obviously I'm doing something wrong but I haven't the money to replace stuff step by step and it's getting me down so I want it fixed. I did have a Chanel foundation before but I found it expensive and not the best I ever had. What can/should I do for a flawless, not like a mask face? What are good products?
PS I have an oily t-zone, dry even sensitive skin everywhere else. I'd like to look fresh but preferable not shiny.
PPS going to a place for a try-out is only an option if I can be very specific, the beautician around here is a little clueless.
1st thing you need to replace is the foundation. i tried that once and threw it away that afternoon. i was using the dream matte mousse and thought that it was almost the same. well, its not. rimmel is cheap crap. not that the dream matte is expensive or anything. but try that. it gives really good coverage and doesnt look chalky. its not oily at all. and seems to be relativly hypoallergenic. so you should be ok with that. if you feel like you need more coverage than just the foundation, try a translucent poweder too. that will mask the oily t zone - during the day touch ups. i wouldnt suggest a colored powder though. that looks too masky.
